9 foolproof steps to skinnyness

My thoughts in regard to step number 8 which is :

“Step 8: Vigorous sexual intercourse burns up to two hundred calories per hour. Therefore, if you are not currently promiscuous, it is essential that you begin “boning” immediately. Start by having sex with every person you know. Then have sex with numerous people you have never met. Continue doing this until you are thin.”

Wow, not only is this person promoting "exercise bulimia" but also sexual transmitted diseases. No mention of condoms, shocking, i know. This is disturbing to me on many levels, but what gets me the most is the instruction to have sex with numerous people you have never met. Not knowing some one's sexual history is risky, not using a condom is risky, all in the sake of burning an extra 200 calories? Now, don't get me wrong sex can be great in a monogamous committed relationship in which you both know each other's sexual history, but the liberalness of partners in this message is demented. Perhaps the author was using exaggerated humor but to a young girl who doesn't know any better, how might she take it?

  1. Yeah, this is definitely an attempt at humor. However, sex burns far more than 200 calories, so it really isn't a bad form of exercise! But regardless of the exercise, what the author is getting at is that whether you have sex with every person you come across or run 10 miles a day, you may not ever be as skinny as you would like.
