About Face

I really liked this website and I think that it is a very positive and reinforcing website for women. I liked the gallery of offenders and how it put into perspective how everyday fashion advertisements can be harmful or a negative influence on the way society views the female body. Overall, this site was very organized and was a postive reinforcement to women no matter what shape or size you may be!

    i talked about the gallery of offenders also! i agree that it puts very good perspective on fashoin ads. now that i saw this site when i look through magazines i normally look at i notice almost ALL of the ads being bad for self esteem for most.

    I liked the gallery of offenders too because it really put into perspective just how influential advertisements can be and how much they can objectify people. When I say that huge long list of designers and companies that were offenders, I was really surprised at some of the stuff I saw. I think that the advertisements that reach young girls especially can be very damaging and only create more body issues in adolescence...
