Adios Barbies
Adios Barbie’s home page reminds me of the layout of popular magazines like cosmopolitan, seventeen and others. I think this is cool because it is targeted to young women my age. If someone was having a bad day were they felt ugly or fat they could come to this website and click on any of the “body lovin’ boosters” to cheer them up and I think it would work for me!

ahhh.... that is totally what I thought!! I think that it is so important to appeal to our younger generations. Young people have to learn that their bodies are special tools and represent not who they are but what they can do. We have to cherish our bodies! It is so sad that people don't have the positive role models to help them in knowing that the way a persons body looks is not what defines them. Websites like this could help people to see their bodies a a positive and helpful thing instead of something to obsess about and criticize.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you guys on this one. I thought that the bright colors and happy appearance of this website made it so appealing! I was clicking around everywhere just to see what the rest of it looked like. I think that sites like this that are informational in a happy way are a great way to get information out to women everywhere.
