Invocation for the
Size Rights Movement
Let the voices for size rights be heard
From the highest mountain to the deepest valley
In cities, towns, and villages
Wherever humankind may dwell
Let them plant in the hearts and minds
Of every child, woman, and man
The seeds of size diversity empowerment
In fertile, fallow fields
Let them grow
In the sunlight of reason
With the driving rains of change
To abundant harvests
Of food for thought
Let these voices sing their songs
Of disappointment and of hope
Of anger and of joy
Of frustration and of accomplishment
Through all the vicissitudes
Of human condition and experience
Let them bring
To the struggles of people of size
Dignity, pride, and unity
Let this be our vision and our quest....
This is beautiful, I am speechless. I will be typing this up and giving it to many of my friends. I feel like encouraging thoughts like this are variable and very appropriate for places like bathroom mirrors, and fridges... places that harbor negative feelings towards oneself in body dissatisfaction. I hope that in the future we will have more places that share this kind of philosophy, the stress empowerment of one's body :)
This is a great site that connects women who identity as large, to seek support and empowerment of oneself.

I agree with you. This is a very moving "poem". I think that if more people saw this, it would encourage them to accept others for who and what they are. It provides a sense of support for those who may be struggling. I really like that.
