Shapely Prose

fabulous website! This was a website that addresses important feminist issues and I looked at the section related to body image. The article that was first presented was about how Forever 21 is creating a plus line. However the issue is if it is really going to be plus or are they just going to make the clothe with an added label on the tag that says XL. It is interesting to hear that they are doing this because that is positive, however they are only adding XL, XXL and XXL. This is just giving more sizes but not making it acceptable for bigger people to be bigger because you are calling them extra extra extra large!

    This is very interesting about forever 21's new plus size line. I agree though that XL XXL and XXXL is still harsh its sending the message that not only are you LARGE if you were this size but that your LARGE LARGE LARGE

    I,too, agree that the labels Forever 21 is giving to plus size clothing is demeaning. I think it would be more tactful to label them in an alternate way.
