about face
The mission for the about face website is, to equip women and girls with the tools to understand and resist harmful media messages that affect self esteem and body image. I think this is a fabulous mission to make!! Women have to understand that they are fabulous and that they do not need to look like the people that they see on TV. It is tragic that young women are not given the support they need to overcome media images and be more positive about their bodies. I also appreciated the "10 things you can do" section. I plan to make some differences in my life based on these ideas to better my self image and those of the women around me!

I agree that women and girls need postive self-esteem and body acceptance. I wonder, no matter how good a website is, if it could give that esteem to a woman. We need more positive forces, like this website, for women in our world.
