Back in Skinny Jeans: Eating Healthier and for less with Dinner parties...

I really enjoy useful and helpful tips such as these, that unfortuantly show up in magazines, right next to the cosmos (that tell you how to please a man, go figure). But I really just wish that the media would try and be real for one second... stop making things sound so easy and trivial... because they aren't for some people... I know it sounds like I'm goin' to rant, but what the hell... I'm bloggin am I not?
I really would like to see a cover or story that explained the grueling and truth behind, really trying to lose weight... I think that the more positives stories on altering everything else around your weight, tends to make for a healthier and happier story in the long run. I have noticed that yes, eating out can be unhealthy... but I believe that if it makes you happy to have the company of others while eating out... then happier equals healthier... I think that it would be nice to have dinner parties... but until I'm out of the hall here on campus (next year thankfully) I will have to settle for going out every once in a while. I really think that if you just eat what makes you happy and maintain a healthy amount of exercise while looking on the bright side of things, you will not only look better... you'll feel better too :)

  1. I totally agree. There are hardly ever any articles explaining the hardships, it's just how to do your hair, or learn how to kiss or something pointless like that. And when it comes to weight loss, they say that working out for 20 minutes and eating this and this and this will help, well, in all seriousness, it's never that easy. If you worked out and ate healthy, you'd never go outside of the gym or your own house.

  2. I think it's interesting how magazine's strategically place ads by other ads or stories, like you mentioned the ad about losing weight next to the article about how to make men happy.
