I really enjoyed the going to the "speaking out" link followed by the "stories told" link on this website. Following these steps takes you to a menu where you can chose between stories about :
anorexia, anorexia & bulimia, compulsive eating, disordered eating, and family and friends.
I read "Meredith's Story" which is about how she fell into Anorexia in 8Th grade through being heavily involved with sports and athletics. Reading about someone else's story is a phenomenal learning tool because you can learn what NOT to do and save yourself from years of pain and suffering. That in fact is why group therapy is so essential to the healing process with these diseases. I also liked the section of this website called "Public Art". Art is a creative way of sometimes releasing inner demons and can also be extremely powerful if created for the healing of others.

I completely agree with what Tara said in regards to listening to the stories of other individuals. I feel that as humans we have a great connection to these stories and find interest in helping others through their experiences, rather then our own sometimes. I believe that Meredith's story has definitely helped aid in a better understanding of the connection that an illness such as anorexia and bulimia.
